i just wanted to give a simple review of an artist i think deserves lots of hype over on the "west side."

her name is April Smith and performs with the Great Picture Show.

with a powerful voice that would knock most females vocalists out of the park, April Smith delivers a sultry persona and retro late 50s early 60s swinging flair.

her songs are catchy and quite stunning.

ps. the mercury lounge off of houston st is a kick ass venue.

Lebowski Fest 2009!

I have always wanted to attend this festival especially since it takes place (almost literally) in my back yard. Unfortunately ill be traveling this weekend, but if your in town come down this Friday to Cal Bowl which is located in Lakewood/Long Beach area.
