The Noisettes bring the funk to the LBC

The Noisettes performed a 35 min set (with an encore) at Fingerprint records over here the far away land called Long Beach, Cali baby.

They are so good. so damn good. and i dont think you can see a bad peformance when you are standing amoung vinyl and cds everywhere.

This awesome brit band broke it up between new songs on their forthcoming album released this fall and their oldies. I have a feeling they are going to break this coming year with their more mainstream groovy tracks. and you cant hate them for that. they are just that good.

as of late i've been diving into the sushi world more. i guess my taste buds are "maturing"?

Started by a couple longtime sushi men, Fishlips claims to be the US's first fresh mobile sushi lunch truck, abetted with a massive window to see the food's preparation and inspired by raw fish's roots as an affordable street-food cart-snack in pre-Hello Kitty Japan. The fish's all fresh, straight from distributors and made to order w/ warm rice (rather than pre-packaged and refrigerated); straight-up swimmers come 2-per-order, served in the rice-ball-with-fish-on-top style known as temari and thrown on the menu with both its proper name and English translation, i.e., unagi (eel), hirame (halibut), and "white tuna"

one of the best reasons for summers in Los Angeles.

ooooh, the hollywood bowl. i love you so. if you have never been you must make a trip there. its really quite magical, no matter what or who you are there to see. they make most shows rather affordable offering sometimes as low as 7 dollar seats (minus service fees). although you may be in the very back its still a great experience. make sure to bring a picnic basket and a bottle of wine.

yesterday i found this beautiful piece at a san gabriel good will location. $15 got me this diamond in the ruff.

i will sooon begin the process of restoring it which i am extremely excited about, it will be my first project like this.

i'll definitely update about the process.
